Aardvark - remove elements from a page (a Firefox extension)

"Powerful and user-friendly selector utility for selecting elements and doing various actions on them. It can be used for cleaning up a page prior to printing it (by removing and isolating elements), and for web development."

I used to have the Nuke Anything Enhanced extension in my Firefox profiles, but Aardvark offers a lot more and is just as small/lightweight.

A slight difference between the two is that Aardvark can remove only whole HTML elements from a page, while Nuke Anything Enhanced can remove (seemingly) any part of the page (eg. a selected text inside a paragraph, etc.).

Update: for some reason this extension caused me a few problems with my bookmarks on Mac OS X. Shock I tried a dozen things to fix the symptoms, but nothing helped. After some thinking I got to the conclusion that the only recent change in my FF profile was the installation of this extension. Uninstalling it solved the problem for good. Strange, but true.

ABP Element Hiding Helper

I know you are using Adblock Plus, which can hide HTML elements of a page, too. Have you tried its companion extension, Element Hiding Helper? It is a user interface to simplify adding hiding rules. Let me know what you are thinking about it.

Re: ABP Element Hiding Helper

Noop, haven't tried it yet. I use only a very few element hiding rules and do not create new ones on a daily (or weekly) basis. And actually writing these rules manually is not that hard, so I never thought of using any tool to make it easier than it already is.
