Central European timezone in HP-UX

For some reason in HP-UX the CET+CEST pair ("Central European Time" and "Central European Summer Time") is called MET and METDST ("Middle European Time" and "Middle European Time Daylight Savings Time"). So if your server's timezone needs CEST (as in Hungary), you should set /etc/default/tz and /etc/TIMEZONE to "MET-1METDST".
