A Norwegian consulting firm started a new service on their website: the "Linux Distribution Chooser". It helps beginners to choose the distribution that best suites their needs.

Actually they meant it for a wider audience (the questions seem to reflect this), however I think that professionals would benefit more from reviews. The automatic chooser might not use the same weights for the different aspects as the expert would, who just wants to see what sort of Linux distros are there and what are their strengths and weaknesses.

Apart from that I think this new service will come handy to a lot of newbies who do not want to read through dozens of reviews to get to a distribution to start with.
