[Techconnect] The guys over at Tom's Hardware have just posted an article to answer the age-old question: What happens when you seal tight a PC case, strip out the fans and add eight gallons of cooking oil?
Apparently you get a totally silent and cool PC.
It may sound weird but they managed to get up and running a machine composed of an AMD Athlon 64 FX-55 as the processor, a Gigabyte K8NXP-SLI with an NForce-4-SLI chipset, 1 GB DDR400 memory and an IDE hard drive from Maxtor with 320 GB capacity (that's a total value of $2000).
Just point and click here to see how they have done it. Now excuse me, I have to go out and get 3 more gallons of oil.
Crazy guys!
However ... most of the time the craziest ideas make the biggest bang in the world.
It might even happen that in a few years all computers will float in some sort of fluid.
