The story is pretty simple: John Oldman is a retiring professor, just about to leave his job after 10 years, but his friends and colleagues surprise him with a goodbye party. John decides to tell them the truth about himself, being an immortal who has walked the earth for 14,000 years.

I must admit this movie made me an unexpected joyful afternoon. It has good characters, very interesting plot and convincing acting. I liked the ending too despite of the small shadow, but I'd definitely call it a "happy ending". The reactions of the characters is typical, at least I'd not expect anything else. The only thing ť wonder, why did John not foresee it? In fourteen thousand years he must have learnt about peoples' reactions. Actually it's pretty hard to believe that he did not tell about his "condition" anyone else, than his friends in the movie and that other man in the 16th century he was talking about. In so long time I'm sure he would have talked about it with more people. Can someone keep secrets for so many years without ever telling?

Anyway, if you're looking for a good movie, this is definitely worth watching.
