Grrr.

I accidentally pressed some keys and the OS started to read out all menus, labels, etc. of the current application. I admit this is probably a must-have for blind people, but it drived me crazy and I couldn't find the shortcut to turn it off. Again Google helped me: a quick search directed me to the
VoiceOver feature of Mac OS X. You can turn it on/off using the Cmd+F5 combo and you can disable this shortcut completely in "System Preferences / Keyboard & Shortcuts / Universal Access / Turn VoiceOver on or off".
