I've made the decision to disable user registration on my site. There were only a couple of visitors who decided to register, but 99% of them never logged in. A user is only useful if you intend to come back regularly and post comments since this way you don't have to enter your user info and captcha validation for every comment (which are compulsory for anonymous users - aka. casual visitors). I also removed already existing users with the exception of those, who have logged in at least once this year and not just on the day of their user's registration.
