It's a known issue with the Mighty Mouse (at least for first time users) that right-clicks are sometimes mistakenly registered as ordinary left-clicks. You need a couple of hours/days to get used to the way you've to right-click. However recently my mouse went crazy (and did so right after a software installation which made debugging the issue a lot more difficult, because my first suspect was the new software): right-click worked only once in 20 times and I couldn't find a pattern. I've rebooted, removed the new software that I suspected to be guilty of messing up something, but nothing helped.
Finally I turned off the mouse and turned it on again using the switch at the bottom and right-click started to work again as it used to.
The lesson here is: even if two things happen at the same place and one right after the other, there's not always a cause and effect relationship.
